You are not alone. Most people do not enjoy having their photo taken and I am one of them. I always joke, “The camera can be mean, I get it to behave.” One question you have to ask yourself is, “When was the last time I was photographed by a photographer whose work I love.” This is another reason why it’s a wise idea to take advantage of the engagement shoot. You have a chance to work with your wedding photographer before the wedding day. The second benefit is, you have the opportunity to see a multitude of images of yourself. Seeing so many images of yourself is often the most overwhelming part of viewing your wedding images. Unless you are a model, actor,  or prolific selfie taker you are not accustom to seeing so many images of yourself.
