I have been embracing the slower pace of intimate weddings. Intimate weddings are no less profound or beautiful than weddings of previous years. The 2020 wedding season has a laid back tone that seems to be more in tune with our modern values. Couples are taking less time to plan their intimate weddings and are less stressed over their big day. As always, it was an honor being able to photograph Joanna and Corey’s beautiful wedding at The Ram’s Head Inn, Shelter Island Long Island. We cannot recommend Denise and Modern Wedding Photography enough! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, my husband and I rescheduled our wedding several times this year. In early August, we decided to have a micro-wedding 4 weeks later on Shelter Island with just our immediate families. We contacted Denise to document our day because we loved her photo-journalistic style. She was responsive and energetic over the phone, and a complete professional and a joy to be around on the day of. We explained to Denise that we aren't the most photogenic and don't love to have our photos taken. Denise allowed us to avoid all the cheesy and overly staged photos, while capturing the true emotions of the day! Although all of the photos are amazing, the candid photos are our absolute favorites. Thank you, Denise 🙂

Even through you are having a smaller wedding, you can still splurge on some details. If you are investing in hiring a photographer, those details will become part of your wedding photographs to be forever remembered. These floral are just stunning.
